UNM-Gallup Sophomore Kadeem Ladoo Announced as Semifinalist for Prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship

March 05, 2020 - The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation announced today that it has named Kadeem Ladoo, sophomore business administration student at the University of New Mexico-Gallup, as a semifinalist for its prestigious community college transfer scholarship. This year’s semifinalists were chosen from a pool of nearly 1,500 applicants, and scholarship recipients will be announced in April. Each selected scholar will receive significant financial support for up to three years, comprehensive educational advising, and the chance to connect with other scholars nationwide.
At UNM-Gallup, Ladoo is a standout scholar who currently serves as the student senate president and will soon graduate with an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration. He plans to transfer to the UNM main campus in Albuquerque, where he will pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Management Information Systems and Operations Management. He is an international student originally from the twin island state of Antigua and Barbuda.
The Cooke Foundation scholarship scholars are selected based on exceptional academic ability and achievement, financial need, persistence, service to others, and leadership.
